A name with a story
Bannister is founder Josh Bannister’s family name. A childhood joke about banisters and staircases became a brewery name with a smile built in.
The inspiration is traditional English ale and the warmth of a country pub: rich flavour, familiar character and the pleasure of that first sip through a thick, foamy head.
English ale at heart
Gentle English hops. Toasted malt. A rich, roasted finish. Start with the traditional side of the Bannister family, or take a brighter, hoppier step.
